COVID-19 UPDATE

June 5, 2020

Dear Patients,

I hope this email finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe. We recently received the good news that New York State has approved the re-opening of dental offices for all procedures. Our office will reopen running normal office hours effective June 8, 2020. We continue to closely follow guidelines from The American Dental Association, US Centers for Disease Control and the Prevention and Occupational Safety and Health Administration, to ensure that we re-open safely.

Myself and my staff have always practiced strict standards of infection control, and have expanded those practices with the increased requirements and guidelines put forth by the ADA, CDC AND POSHA. The health and safety of our patients and staff are of the utmost importance.

As we resume providing excellent, safe dental care to our patients we are implementing new procedures for scheduling appointments, screening patients and overall operations of the office. We continue to update this process and will guide you every step of the way!

We have recently incorporated the use of medical grade air purifiers throughout the office and have eliminated our waiting room to limit the number of patients in the office at one time. All staff have been outfitted with the proper PPE for everyone’s protection. Hand sanitizer will be available and everyone entering our office (staff included) will be asked to wear a mask and will have their temperature taken by a team member. Anyone scheduled for an appointment will be given specific instructions over the phone 1-2 days prior to their appointment. The day of the appointment the patient must call the office when they arrive in the parking lot. The front desk staff will give the patient specific instructions and will notify the patient via call or text when the dental team is ready. We have also altered our patient scheduling to allow for deep cleaning of all areas between patients.

NOTE TO PARENTS: Parents or caregivers escorting an under-aged patient to the office should bring the patient to the door, but will then be asked to remain outside. We recognize that there will be exceptions to this policy based on a child's age and special needs. Feel free to ask the front desk staff for more information regarding this guideline.

We are looking forward to seeing you again soon! We are here to answer any questions you may have regarding our new office procedures and to assure you of your continued safety!

Sincerely,
Dr. Scott Loeser & Staff
